Termite control
Colony treatment that deals with the nest, not just the trail you can see.
Termites are the one pest where what you can see is the least useful part. A mud tube up a boundary wall or a hollow-sounding skirting is the end of a network that may run under the floor slab and out into the garden. Treating the visible part alone gives you two weeks of quiet and a worse problem later.
We work the other way round: find how the colony is reaching the building, treat the route and the nest, then protect the timber that is still sound. In most Sri Lankan houses the entry is a crack in the slab, a garden bed banked against a wall, or timber in contact with soil, all fixable, and worth fixing once.
How to tell
- Mud tubes running up walls, foundations or pillars
- Timber that sounds hollow when tapped, or gives under a thumbnail
- Doors and window frames that have started to stick
- Discarded wings near lights or windowsills after rain
- Paint that bubbles or blisters in a line rather than a patch
How we treat it
- 01Identifying the problemWe trace the route in, not just the damage. That means checking the perimeter, the space under the floor, roof timbers and anywhere wood meets soil, and telling you which timber is still sound.
- 02TreatmentA precisely applied termiticide applied to the soil route and directly into the galleries, so the colony carries it back rather than simply avoiding the treated strip.
- 03ProtectionSound timber and future entry points are treated so the same route cannot be used again, and we tell you which building faults to correct.

Common questions
- Do you have to drill the floor?
- Sometimes, where the route runs beneath a slab and there is no other way to reach it. We drill the smallest number of holes that will do the job, plug them afterwards, and show you where they are before we start.
- How long before I know it has worked?
- Activity usually stops within two to three weeks. What to look for is explained before we leave, because the absence of mud tubes is not the same as the absence of a colony.
Where we treat this
We cover termite control across Colombo and the suburbs around it. These are the areas we are booked for most:
