SpidersCrawling
Spider control
Treat the corners and voids they hunt from, and remove what they are eating.
Spiders are a symptom as much as a problem. A house with a lot of spiders usually has a lot of small flying insects, and the fastest way to fewer webs is fewer flies, which often means a light near a door, or an open eave.
We treat the places webs are actually built, external corners, eaves, garages, roof spaces, behind stored items, and deal with what is drawing them in. Treating the visible webs alone is a chore you repeat for ever, not a treatment.
Signs
How to tell
- Webs reappearing in the same corners within days of being cleared
- Egg sacs in sheltered corners, under sills or behind stored boxes
- Numbers rising when the weather turns and insects move indoors
- Concentrations around outside lights, which are attracting their food
Method
How we treat it
- 01Clear and treatExisting webs and egg sacs are removed, and the corners, eaves and voids they were built in are treated so they are not rebuilt in the same places.
- 02Remove the foodWe deal with the small flying insects drawing them in, which is what makes the difference last.
- 03Close the gapsEntry points around windows, doors, vents and eaves are identified so fewer come in to begin with.
Safety
Around children and pets
Applied to external corners, eaves and voids rather than to living surfaces. Treated areas are ready for normal use once the application has dried, and are safe around children and pets.
Questions
Common questions
- Are house spiders dangerous?
- The great majority found in Sri Lankan homes are harmless and genuinely useful, since they eat mosquitoes. We treat where numbers are a nuisance, and we are happy to tell you which ones are worth leaving alone.
- Why do the webs come straight back?
- Because the food is still there. Treating the webs without reducing the insects is why it feels endless.
