Cookie policy
A short page, because this is a short list. No advertising cookies, nothing sold or shared, and the one thing that counts visits is off until you say yes.
Last updated 7 August 2026
1. The short version
We do not use advertising cookies, we do not sell or share browsing behaviour with anybody, and nothing here follows you to other websites.
We do count visits, using Google Analytics, and that sets a cookie. It is the one piece of third-party measurement on the site, it is switched off until you agree to it, and the banner that asks is the only thing you have to answer. Say no and every part of the site works exactly the same.
If you have already answered and want to change your mind, clear this site’s data in your browser, see “Clearing it” below, and the question is asked again.
2. What the site does store
Your basket. Kept in your own browser so it survives a reload. It holds product identifiers and quantities, nothing about you, and no prices we would trust.
Your answers in the quote wizard, kept the same way, so a dropped connection on step three does not send you back to step one. The contact details on the final step are deliberately not stored.
A cookie when you sign in to an account, which is what keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Signing out clears it.
Your answer to the cookie question, kept in your browser so you are not asked again on every page. It records only “yes” or “no”.
None of the above is readable by any other website, and all of it stays on your device.
3. What our suppliers may set
Google Analytics, but only if you agreed. It sets its own cookies to tell one visit from another and to count returning visitors. We ask it not to record your full IP address. We use it to see which pages people actually read; we cannot see who you are from it, and we do not use it for advertising.
If you pay by card, the payment gateway sets its own cookies on its own pages to run the transaction and prevent fraud. That happens on their domain, under their policy, and we cannot read them.
Our hosting provider may set a cookie needed to route your request correctly. It carries no information about you.
4. Clearing it
Clearing your browser’s site data for pestfree.lk removes all of it, including your basket and any saved quote answers. Nothing you have already sent us is affected, that lives in our records, and the privacy policy covers it.
Clearing the data also forgets your answer to the cookie question, so it will be asked once more.
This page changed on 7 August 2026, when visit counting was added, and it changed before that went live, with the banner, exactly as the previous version of this page promised. If anything else is ever added, the same applies.
5. Contact
Write to us at the email address on our contact page, or telephone the number in the footer of any page. We answer data questions in writing within one working day and resolve them within thirty days.
