Fly traps & insect killers
D22 Designer Wall UV Fly Trap
Philips UVA tubes at 365 nanometres, in a case discreet enough for a dining room wall.
About
What it is for
Most fly traps look like equipment, which is a problem in a room customers sit in. The D22 is built to be seen: a slim high-strength ABS case, 411 millimetres wide, that reads as a wall fitting rather than a machine. Behind it are two 11-watt Philips UVA tubes running at 365 nanometres, the wavelength flies respond to most strongly, covering 30 to 50 square metres and up to 100 in a darkened room. Twenty-two watts is enough for a restaurant floor, a reception or a treatment room, and the capture is silent so nobody in the room knows it is working. The enclosed casing is the point here. It suits front of house areas, restaurant dining rooms, receptions and shops, where a visible industrial fly killer looks wrong. Coverage of 30 to 50 square metres, or up to 100 in a dark room, makes it a unit for a single room rather than a hall.
